Compared to usability tests for icons without an automatic, standardized and Web-based test environment, the expenditure is reduced by up to around 80%.
For such conventional usability tests, the icons and respective functions must be prepared in a test file (e.g. in PowerPoint or Word). The test participants then receive an e-mail with the request to evaluate the icons in the enclosed test file and to return it. The results received must then be collated together in an evaluation file, which requires considerable detailed work. They then have to be analyzed by experts.
It doesn’t get quicker and simpler than with the Icon Usability Test.
