As a research company, we make the highest scientific demands. All agile usability methods from Apliki – including the Icon Usability Test – are continually further developed in cooperation with practitioners and scientists.

The effectiveness of the Icon Usability Test has been investigated as part of a study conducted at the Institute for Psychology at the Humboldt University, Berlin. Within one week, 1,400 participants under various test conditions provided more than 60,000 correlations between icons and functions for a TV browser.

This study proved that the Icon Usability Test is a reliable and valid tool for measuring the quality of icons.
